It`s very easy to have your iphone unlocked and running the 2.2 firmware.
This step by step guide will solve all your questions.
We will unlock the iphone with quickpwn. follow the next instructions.

1.-Go to itunes, select your iphone and click on restore. Itunes will download the 2.2 firmware and will install it on your iphone. If this option doesn´t appear on your itunes, heres the link to download the firmware by yourself:

Now that you have installed the 2.2 firmware, itunes will tell you that your sim is not compatible. its time to unlock your iphone. Close itunes, and open quickpwn. You can download quickpwn from here megaupload.
connect your iphone and click on the “next arrow”

If you have download the firmware from itunes, quickpwn fill find it by itself. If not, you will have to search it. click on browse and select it from your computer.

Now select install cydia, installer, and unlock the iphone on the next screen.

Now a screen will ask you for the bootloaders. download them here.
unzip the file anywhere on your pc, then in quickpwn browse for them.
