   1 Hi, if the “Phone” part of the Iphone will be unlocked, so it can be used with a different carrier… I’m with Rogers in Canada; before I open up the Iphone box I got out of sheer excitement, I want to make sure it will work with Rogers. Thanks for letting me know. Reply to this comment.

   2 At present, the iPhone unlocking software doesn’t support activating the phone. But the iPhone SIM card unlock software is under developping and will be released a little later. Please come back later to check it. Reply to this comment.

    25 way to go for unlocking the iphone! but isn’t it complicated to open your iphone? i bought 150 pieces of turbo sim which unlocks the phone as well. i can use any carrier all over the world. if anyone is interested, i am selling it for $250 each. if you think this is a spam, or hoax, you can surf for it. its turbo sim.     26 i just came to know the formula as “hacked and invented” to unlock iphone was being seriously used by the chinks’ societies (mainland and hong kong) to cheat money and money, the up-to-date “handling” fees those damn chinks will charge over HK$3,000.00 odd each like thieves, would you guys please do something to protect and stop them. i am so shame of being a fucking chink, too.     33 The iphone sim unlock software has been developed by “iphone sime free” It’s being launched today but the main problem is the licence technology which means you need an unsed “unique” licence to get the main file in .app form to directly put it in the iphone menu ……… This a one direct software work just utilizing 2 min. as the distribution work is going on so wait until maximum next week……………… THANK YOU!!!!!!!     42 Author Comment @lai: the licenses costs about 60$, and you have to know about software, ips, and that kind of config. i assume that people that are here doesnt know about that. @ken: you can buy the unlocked iphone version, check at the end of the post. you dont need to modify it, its ready. You need to buy a license for the phone unlock for about 60$, the best way is buying the iphone unlocked, or wait until theres a free version of the software. If theres one, sure i will notify you. @chona: If you live in the phillippines, the best way is buying the iphone unlocked, its ready for any gsm carrier, and it really works!!, or you can also get a copy of the software “iphonesimfree” it costs about 60$, but you need to know about programming. @EVERYBODY WHO WANT TO UNLOCK THEIR IPHONES: I have been emailed by some company of unlocking iphones, and they will launch it on october, you will be able to use your iphone in any gsm carrier.     61 Anyone knows how to work all the features in the iphone? (wi-fi,ringtones etc). I finally figured out how to transfer songs from i-tunes to the iphone (THANK YOU guys!), and the phone works in Indonesia. I guess UNLOCKED phone does not mean unlocked to all the features.     63 @kris: NEVER UPGRADE YOUR UNLOCKED IPHONE, you can only buy the ringtones, and the wi.fi is easy to use. @antony: you need to have the latest itunes version to transfer songs, its like the ipod! Reply to this comment.

    74 I just got an Iphone from ebay where the seller stated it was unlocked and I could use any gsm card/carrier. Everything seems to work but the phone part. Wondering if there is a way to fix this or I should just relist on ebay? I can see so many people getting scammed when people say the iphone is unlocked but it really isn’t. Also, if I connect the iPhone to my computer (for iTunes) to transfer songs to the iPhone will it lock/brick? Maybe Im just being paranoid but I dont want it to become a $400 paperweight!!
